Florida Council on crime and delinquency

It is an honor to serve as your incoming president and continue the proud legacy of an organization that brings criminal justice professionals, community partners, and dedicated citizens together for a safer, stronger Florida.

This year, our theme will be “No One Left Behind: Bridging Communities of Care.” We will Connect by strengthening relationships among criminal justice professionals, agencies, chapters, and community partners. We will Develop by providing relevant training and leadership opportunities that prepare our members for the challenges of today and tomorrow. We will Serve by continuing FCCD’s proud tradition of giving back to the communities throughout Florida and we will Include by creating an environment where every member understands their experience, ideas, and participation matter.

Our profession is strongest when we build bridges instead of barriers. Whether we serve in corrections, law enforcement, probation, juvenile justice, victim services, behavioral health, education, or within our communities, each of us plays an important role in creating safer and stronger communities.

During the coming year, I want FCCD to continue doing what it does best: connecting people, developing leaders, providing meaningful training, and serving Florida communities.

I also want us to reach beyond the walls of our individual agencies. When we collaborate, share ideas, mentor the next generation and serve those around us, we demonstrate what true leadership in criminal justice looks like.

I invite you to become involved in your local chapter, attend our training opportunities, bring a colleague to a meeting, volunteer in your community, and help us expand the reach of FCCD throughout Florida.

Together, we can strengthen our profession, support one another, and ensure that as we move forward – "NO ONE IS LEFT BEHIND!”
