I am so honored and humbled to serve as the 2022-2023 State President of this great Florida Council on Crime and Delinquency (FCCD) organization. I am very committed and passionate as we foster interagency collaboration of all criminal and juvenile justice entities, provide relevant training, and encourage community service throughout the State of Florida.
First, thank you for your dedication and commitment to impact families in your local communities. Each of you provides countless volunteer hours to make a difference in your respective areas. FCCD would not be the success that it is without each of you and the work you do everyday. Again, thank you Team FCCD for your support as I embark upon my presidency.
As we prepare for the 93rd Annual Training Institute, August 21-24, 2023 at the beautiful Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel in Orlando, our theme is “Celebrate, Honor and Respect Families by Leaving a Family Legacy”. Our motto is “Family: We may not have it all Together, but Together We have it All.”
Our main colors for the Institute are yellow, black and white and our community service projects are the Florida Alliance of Boys and & Girls Club and Prodigy Cultural Arts Program.
This year, our goal is to Promote Strong Families by providing the necessary tools and resources to strengthen the family bond. We will specifically highlight and celebrate fathers and the importance of their role in the family structure. As criminal and juvenile justice practitioners, we have to look through different lenses to better serve all families. We must realize that all family cultures are different and we must add tools in our tool belt to ensure we are reaching and serving all families where they are! READ MORE
