De-escalation Techniques: Lessons Learned Inside of Correctional Facilities is a presentation on how people of all walks of life can benefit from the techniques that successful Correctional Professionals utilize in their daily duties and during critical incidents inside of Correctional Facilities. During this presentation, the participant will receive a de-escalation overview, an understanding of the "letter of the law verses the spirit of the law" when it comes to de-escalation and use of force, and a review of some of the techniques that instructors can use to teach de-escalation tactics. Participants can expect a high energy presentation packed full of information as well as a working understanding of how to use the tools that will be discussed.
